Helen Rigg Wins Top Prize in Queenscourt Lottery

Helen Rigg was delighted to learn that she was our Queenscourt Lottery Weekly Draw top prize winner, despite having only joined Queenscourt Lottery in November 2023!

Helen, who lives in Birkdale said, “I had been thinking of ways I could support a local charity, and by chance I spoke with a lovely lady who was canvassing in the Spar on Liverpool Road, on behalf of Queenscourt Lottery.”

“I remember when I first moved to Birkdale and Princess Diana opened Queenscourt Hospice. I wanted to support a local cause and it didn’t take much for the Queenscourt Lottery Canvasser to get me to sign up to Queenscourt’s Weekly Lottery.”

Helen is a member of the Birkdale Golf Club and is to become Lady Captain next February. She has also supported #teamqueenscourt previously by participating in Queenscourt’s record-breaking event: the annual Star Trekk 10k Sponsored Night Walk.

She added: “I have no plans yet on how to spend the money, but I won’t be saving it!

“Since winning, I have recommended to friends that they should sign up for Queenscourt Lottery, as it is very straight forward and fun way to support your local hospice.”

Queenscourt Lottery is celebrating its 30th Year Anniversary this year. Since 1994, Queenscourt Lottery has raised over £4 million for our charity via the Weekly Draw and twice-yearly Raffles, providing much-needed income for our charity.
