Queenscourt Hospice launches annual Lights of Love Appeal 2023 and Remembering Evenings this Christmas

Queenscourt Hospice has announced the launch of their Lights of Love Appeal 2023.

The appeal invites anyone to dedicate a light on the virtual Lights of Love Christmas tree in memory of loved ones. It is a lovely way for families, friends and our community to come together to remember their nearest and dearest, by leaving a special message and adding a picture if they wish.

The lights outside Queenscourt Hospice will also be illuminated with hundreds of lights throughout December to represent dedications made to friends and family you wish to remember. We invite you to honour and remember the life of someone special by dedicating a light and making a donation.

Lights of Love Remembering Evenings

This year we are hosting not one but two Lights of Love Remembering Evenings. Our Remembering Evenings are open to anyone that would like to come along and remember loved ones. There’s no need to book, please just come along.

The first service will take place on Thursday 7th December 2023 at Holy Trinity Church, Hoghton Street, Southport. Refreshments in Church Hall begin at 6pm and the Remembering Evening will commence in the Church at 7pm.

The second service will take place on Monday 11th December 2023 at Ormskirk Civic Hall, Southport Road, Ormskirk. Refreshments begin at 6pm and the Remembering Evening will commence at 7pm.

Andrea Parkes, Individual Giving and Legacy Fundraiser at Queenscourt, said: “We are delighted that this year we will be hosting two Remembering Evenings as part of our Lights of Love Appeal 2023.

“By taking part in our Lights of Love Appeal you can honour the life of someone dear to you, whilst raising much-needed funds for Queenscourt.

“We also welcome support from local businesses, community organisations and groups of friends who might want to dedicate a light and support Queenscourt at the same time.”
