Queenscourt Hospice Announces Open Garden 2024

Queenscourt Hospice is delighted to announce that we will once again be opening our gardens and grounds on Saturday 22nd June 2024 for an Open Garden event.
The Open Garden is a great opportunity to wander through the woodland walk, around the lake and in the woods to discover some of the amazing things that the volunteer gardeners, and other volunteers have been able to do for patients, visitors and staff at the hospice.
We are hoping to raise as much as we can through a range of fun activities including guided garden tours, stalls, refreshments, tombola, games and competitions for all ages.
There will also be a selection of homemade cakes from volunteers on offer, as well as retail and plant stalls with the volunteer gardeners on hand to give advice and show you through the gardens.
The gardens will be open from 12noon to 4pm – we hope to see you there!
This week is also Volunteers’ Week, which takes place each year between 1st and 7th June. At Queenscourt, our volunteers are the essence of our charity and we would like to extend our deepest thanks to every one of our volunteers for their dedication, compassion and hard work.
From tending to our beautiful gardens to working in our charity shops, providing companionship to our patients and helping out at events; their contributions are invaluable.
Amanda Bradley, Interim Head of HR and Volunteering at Queenscourt, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming the public back to Queenscourt Hospice again this year.
“The Open Garden is a fantastic opportunity to help raise funds for Team Queenscourt in a variety of ways as well as meeting supporters old and new.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing Volunteers for all that they have done, and continue to do for us, we cannot thank them enough. Volunteers’ Week is just a small way to help us to show our appreciation.”
