Why make a Will?
As we go through life our lives are constantly evolving, from successful careers and new homes, meeting the love of our lives to a growing family, enjoying retirement and watching grandchildren play. These are all important reasons why you should make a Will.
Making a Will ensures that your loved ones are provided for as you wish. A Will allows you to leave your gifts to those you love, whether it is cash or personal items. Each gift in a Will comes with love and is an expression of who you are and what you loved and supported.
Unless you make a Will, you cannot guarantee that your estate will be distributed as you would like. If you die without having made a Will (known as Intestate) the law directs how your assets are divided.
Having a Will written professionally can give you peace of mind and helps ensure your loved ones are taken care of. It’s also a good idea to review your Will every five years, knowing that times change and so do our wishes.
Please Consider Leaving a Legacy to Queenscourt
Legacies help Queenscourt to provide FREE Specialist Palliative Care for local people with life-limiting illnesses, when they need us the most.
Gifts in Wills have helped to keep Queenscourt Hospice in service for over 30 years.
Adding a Gift in your Will to Queenscourt Hospice, is one of the biggest ways you can help make a difference to local people facing a life-limiting illness. A Gift in your Will to Queenscourt helps us to continue providing exceptional compassionate care, today, tomorrow and for many years to come.
Leaving a Gift costs nothing today and yet makes a significant difference to those we care for tomorrow.
Why leave a Gift to Queenscourt?
- Many supporters choose to leave Queenscourt a Gift in their Will as a way of saying thank you for the care and support received by a loved one, or for care they have received themselves, so that future generations can also benefit from our Specialist Palliative Care.
- Queenscourt is a local charity that has been providing FREE end-of-life care for over 30 years, with our official opening taking place in 1992 by the late Princess Diana. Over the years our vital services have changed and adapted to meet the growing needs of our wider community.
- Last year we provided FREE Specialist Palliative Care for over 2,000 patients and supported their loved ones during such a challenging time.
- As an independent voluntary and charitable organisation, we receive less than 21% of our funds from statutory bodies and we need to make up the remaining 79% of our annual income from charitable donations and other sources. Legacies and In Memory donations play a crucial part in achieving this income.
- It costs over £555 an hour to keep Queenscourt in service, so that we can continue to provide exceptional compassionate care 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Thank You so much for Your Support!
Your gift will cost you nothing today and yet make a world of difference to those we care for in the future.
