Palliative Care Nurse Specialist
As part of a new service development an opportunity has arisen for a full time Palliative Care Nurse Specialist (Band 7) to join the dynamic, integrated specialist palliative care team at Queenscourt Hospice, to pilot a new palliative and end of life virtual ward model in the communities of West Lancs and Southport and Formby. This is a fixed term contract with a view to a permanent contract dependant on pilot outcomes. This post is predominantly community based.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills to oversee the delivery of an excellent specialist palliative care service.
The successful candidate will be an RGN. You will be educated to degree level as a minimum and working towards (or willing to undertake) MSc level 7 study with demonstrable advanced communication skills. The Palliative Care Nurse Specialist post also requires the V300 non-medical prescribing qualification.
