Transforming Integrated Palliative & End of Life Care Module
We are delighted to report that 24 participants completed the module run by Terence Burgess Education Centre at Queenscourt in partnership with Edge Hill University (almost half of the participants were employed by Southport & Ormskirk Hospitals NHS Trust).
Following the examination board at the beginning of August, despite the fact that over half of the participants had never studied at degree level previously, 86% passed the module with 5 participants gaining a distinction and 3 a merit. Well done to all of you!
Following this success we are now planning the next two modules - these are likely to be 'communication & spiritual care at the end of life' and 'end of life trajectories and symptoms'. It is very clear from what we have done in this module that these are the areas which are really crucial to good end of life care. The hope is to make the three modules into a Postgraduate Certificate if possible.
If you prefer to do so you can register your interest online - for any or all of the three modules - we will ask for your name, profession, role and place of work. There is NO commitment at this stage.
