It’s Day 3 of our Compassionate Communities’ campaign and today we focus on John Caddy who responded very early on to a call to help with fundraising and has been generously making regular, weekly donations to Queenscourt by giving us his beer money!

He said: “Like a lot of chaps, I go out at least once a week to see the lads but clearly I can’t do that at the moment. I thought, why not donate that money to a good cause and there is no better cause than Queenscourt.”

John, whose daughter Joanne is Head of HR and Volunteering at Queenscourt, has been donating £20 a week to Queenscourt and pledged to do so until the pubs open again.

“I don’t miss the money because I would normally spend it anyway,” he said. “I just hope other people will consider doing a similar thing to help Queenscourt in these tough times.”
