Kurt Bromley is preparing to spend 12 hours of his time in lockdown raising money for Queenscourt by playing one of his favourite games and live streaming his efforts. Kurt’s ‘Streamathon’ will take place between 8am and 8pm on Sunday, April 19, and will see him attempt to complete the action adventure game “Uncharted 4” within 12 hours. All the action can be watched here: http://twitch.tv/gamer_dad20
“I have played the game before and completed it, but never within 12 hours,” said Kurt. “That is my aim and I am hoping people will support me by making donations.” Kurt is embarking on the Streamathon in memory of his mum Chris Prescott, who died from cervical cancer in November 2018, aged just 50. He has set a target of £1,000 with whatever he raises being split between Queenscourt Hospice, who cared for his mum, and the Diana Award. “I just want to give something back to Queenscourt, especially at this difficult time, because they looked after my mum so well,” said Kurt. “She spent her last couple of weeks at the hospice and had been in and out of there a few times prior to that. The hospice is definitely a cause very close to my heart.”
Kurt has around 3,500 followers on social media and he is hoping many of them will support his fundraising efforts.
