During these difficult times, Queenscourt is hoping to inspire new and creative ways to raise much-needed funds for our hospice.
As a result of Coronavirus, we have taken the unprecedented step of closing all our shops and postponing key fundraising initiatives that would normally take place over the next few months, including Make A Will month and Star Trekk, our night walk.
As a result, we need your support now more than ever so that our wonderful team can continue caring for local people when they need us the most.
John Caddy has already responded to this call to action and is generously making a regular, weekly donation to Queenscourt by giving us his beer money!
He said: “Like a lot of chaps, I go out at least once a week to see the lads but clearly I can’t do that at the moment. I thought, why not donate that money to a good cause and there is no better cause than Queenscourt.”
John, whose daughter Jo is Head of HR and Volunteering at Queenscourt, will be donating £20 a week to Queenscourt until the pubs open again.
“I won’t miss the money because I would normally spend it anyway,” he said. “I just hope other people will consider doing a similar thing to help Queenscourt in these tough times.”
